Esperance- Marian A. Kolakowski, 79, of Zicha Road, died Thursday at her residence with her brother by her side.
Born November 1, 1943 in Glen Cove, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Mae (Kalinowski) Lewinski.
Marian was a licensed practical nurse and retired from Glen Cove Community Hospital where she worked many years. She moved to this area in 1976 and continued her work in healthcare as a home care nurse in Schoharie County.
In her leisure, Marian enjoyed reading, tending to indoor plants and planting flowers.
She is survived by her brother, Walter Lewinski, her beloved cat, Mushie, and was predeceased by her sister, Adele Kenary of Glen Cove.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY.
