Marian Keller

Warnerville- Marian S. Keller, 90, formerly of Leland Lane, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.

Born April 25, 1925 in Cobleskill, she was the daughter of Ford and Laura (Mansheffer) Slater.

Marian was a 1944 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and was primarily a homemaker, babysitting for many children in her own home. Outside the home, her scope of work included various jobs at General Electric, Sharon Springs Imperial Baths, and our local hospital in Cobleskill .

She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Seward, NY.

Marian married Murrell Keller, Jr. on Feb. 3, 1945 and he predeceased her on July 19, 2001, along with her sisters: Joan Halso and Eunice Keller and a brother: Virgil Slater.

Survivors include her five children: Teresa (Nate) Corlew of Dade City, FL, Pamela (Dana) Ambrose of Lady Lake, FL, Terry (Rosemarie) Keller of Cobleskill, Patricia Larkin of Sharon Springs, and Dawn (Larry) Eakin of Warnerville; ten grandchildren: Amy Lyn Williams, Nathan M. Corlew, Tara Doran, Jeffrey Ambrose, Lucas Larkin, Trisha Larkin, Joshua Keller, Cristina Keller, Kayla Haskin, and Zachary Haskin; eight great-grandchildren: Jonathon Williams, Heather Williams, Noah Corlew Pollick, Emmalie VanDerpool, Jeffrey Dana Ambrose, Riley Ambrose, Jacob Doran, and Avery Bailey; six sisters: Lena MacMillan, Dorothea Slater, Phyllis Sparks, Arlene Giacomo, Beverly Stanton, Donna Cave; one brother: Alton Slater; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Rev. Jared van Wagenen IV officiating. A period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 Am to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
