Marian Fiedler, 86, formerly of Cobleskill, NY, died Fri., Feb. 8, 2008 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Fiedler was born in New York, NY on Aug. 1, 1921 a daughter of the late John D. and Dorothy (Martin) Donhoff. She retired from the Connetquot School District in Ronkonkoma after teaching Elementary School for 27 years. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teacher's Assoc. and most recently a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cobleskill, NY. Marian was, above all, a Mother. The lessons she taught of kindness, generosity and faith will live on in all who knew her. In addition to her family, Marian loved music, dancing, dogs, singing and talking. She had the "gift of gab," as she used to say. She loved swimming in the Long Island Sound and days on the sunny beach. She loved going out to eat and had a certain affinity for McDonald's fish sandwiches. She was an amazing woman. Her vibrance, love and spirit will be sorely missed, always treasured and never forgotten.
