Town of Florida, NY (Montgomery County)- Margaret C. Tripp, 91, of Youngs Corners Road, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.
Margaret was born December 1, 1918 in Howes Cave, NY and was the daughter of Cornelius and Emma (Slater) Warner.
She was employed at one time at The Log Cabin in Sharon Springs, NY, and was an avid baker and loved to sew.
Mrs. Tripp was predeceased by her husband, Regnal Tripp, Sr., who died in 1989 and a daughter, Sandra J. Purcell who died in 1986, as well as all her siblings.
She is survived by 3 sons; Richard L. Tripp of Scotia, NY, David C. Tripp, Sr. of Florida, NY, and Regnal "Chip" Tripp, Jr. of Esperance, NY, 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January, 10, 2009 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Merle Young officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm, Saturday, January 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be private and held in the spring at Zion Rural Cemetery.
