Marcia Pedone

Cobleskill- Marcia M. Pedone of Crabapple Lane, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence.

Marcia was born in Hobart and was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Leo) Marsala.
She was a graduate of Stamford Central School and moved to Cobleskill in 1952. Marcia was a telephone operator, retiring in 1965 from the former New York Telephone Company in Cobleskill and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneer of America.

She was a communicant of the former St. Anna's Catholic Church in Summit. Marcia was also a volunteer for the Community Hospital Auxiliary and a member of AARP.

Her husband, Leonard Pedone, predeceased her on May 30, 1982.

Her nephews often visited her: John (Judy) Dare of Selkirk and their children: Heather, Patrick and Briar; Daniel (Sheillagh) Dare of Feura Bush; her niece, Donna Prehna of Stamford; and grandnieces and grandnephews: Karen, Susie and Greg Polhamus. Other family members also survive Marcia.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Jeff L'Arche as celebrant. Private visitation will be held for the family. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cobleskill Regional Hospital Auxiliary, 178 Grandview Dr., Cobleskill, NY 12043.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
