Madeline Galietta St. George, 95, formerly of West Fulton, N.Y., died Monday October 4, 2010 at the Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, N.Y., where she had resided since September 1, 2009.
Madeline was born on April 3, 1915 in Jersey City, N.J., a daughter of the late Antoinette (Tedesco) and Nicola Galietta.
Madeline was married on October 26, 1935 to Nicholas St. George. He predeceased her on September 20, 1989.
Madeline was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.
She resided in Jersey City, N.J. for 86 years before moving to the West Fulton area in May of 2001.
Madeline was predeceased by her sister: Carmela Stange and her brother: Gennaro Galietta.
Madeline is survived by her sons: Carmen (Barbara) St. George of West Fulton, N.Y. and Henry (Patricia) St. George of Piscataway, N.J.; grandchildren: Nicholas A. St. George of Granby, MA., Patricia M. St. George of Alexandria, VA., Carmella Jo Smith of Middleburgh, N.Y., Cheryl Fumento of Middletown, N.J.; nine great-grandchildren and her sister: Josephine Serrie of Santa Cruz, CA.; six nieces and one nephew.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh, N.Y. and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill, N.Y.
