Cobleskill- Mabel M. Larkin, 65, of Mohawk Drive, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Born March 15, 1954 in Little Falls, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Edna (Dart) VanDycke.

Mabel worked various jobs from The Otesaga Restaurant to Toe Path Industries.   She had volunteered at the Cobleskill Regional Hospital and assisted with children’s religious education classes at the Fusion Community Church where she was a member.

Mabel treasured taking care of her family and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking.

She was predeceased by her stepfather, Louis Warner and siblings: Eileen Parks, Theodore VanDycke, and Robert VanDycke.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Larkin, whom she married July 12, 1999; two daughters:  Ronda Lent of Cobleskill and Tracy (Randy) Schrom of Esperance; stepson, Sean Larkin; three grandchildren:  Matthew Lent, Katlyn Schrom and Sean Larkin, Jr, as well as other family members:  Tony Warner, Judy Hadsell, Sharon Warner, and Joyce Borthwick.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Fusion Community Church, 375 North Grand St., Cobleskill with Pastor Andrew Fetter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation Northeastern New York, 3 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205-5523 or American Diabetes Assoc., 160 Allens Creek Rd Bldg. 160, Rochester, NY 14618.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
