High Bridge, NJ- Lucy E. Hurley, 87, formerly of High Bridge, NJ, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, NY where she had been a resident for the past year.
Born September 22, 1925 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Daniel and Lucy (Burkhardt) Hurley.
She had been a resident of High Bridge for forty years before moving to this area. Lucy retired in 1981 as a resource project manager after thirty-eight years of employment with AT&T in Bedminster, NJ.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her sister, Helen Schumacher, and four brothers: Andrew, Daniel, William and Phillip Hurley.
Survivors include five nieces: JoAnn Hurley of Summit, Lois Henry of Temechula, CA, Carol Flannery of Tutlatin, OR, Patricia Mareck of Naples, ID, and Gladys Wendt of Tutlatin, OR; and one nephew: Dennis Hurley of Brentwood, NY.
Burial will be private at the family's convenience in Keyserkill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
