Sharon Springs- Louise T. Boehler, 84, of Goodrich Road, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a four-day illness.

Born March 11, 1934 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of Michael and Jessi (Brue) Romagnoli.

Louise retired from the Yonkers Public School System and more recently had been an office manager for Empire Scale Company of Buffalo, NY.

She married Robert Boehler on June 5, 1954 and he predeceased her on December 11, 2010.  They moved to Schoharie County in 1996 to be near their family.  Together they enjoyed traveling to the Cape and Florida.

Louise was proud to be Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.  She treasured time spent with family, cooking and traveling.  Louise had a strong faith in God, and was raised in the Catholic Church.

Her brother, Vincent Romagnoli, also predeceased her.

Cherishing her memories are her three sons:  Robert J. Boehler, Jr. (Marge Kelleher Nickerson) of Sharon Springs, Craig (Marie) Boehler of Mayfield, and Michael (Christina) Boehler of Sharon Springs; three grandchildren: Jessica Boehler (Tim) Adams, Justin (Amanda Jones) Boehler, and BryAnna Jangro; and two great-grandchildren:  Angelina Adams and Alaina Adams.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held one hour prior, from 10 Am to 11AM.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
