Schoharie- Louis Ingraham, 86, of Prospect St., died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Cobleskill Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mr. Ingraham was born on July 7, 1923 in West Fulton, NY, a son of the late Wilhelmina (Chapman) and Luther Ingraham.
He attended the former West Fulton one-room-schoolhouse before attending Middleburgh Central School.
Mr. Ingraham worked in construction, most recently for Local 157 in Schenectady, NY. He enjoyed relaxing walks, animals and nature.
Mr. Ingraham was predeceased by his brother, David Ingraham.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn (Holcomb) Ingraham of Schoharie, NY; daughters: Darlene (Raymond) Gillis of Central Bridge, NY, Deborah Ingraham of Stamford, NY; sons: Carl (Kay) Ingraham of Houston TX, Gary (Debra) Ingraham of Richmondville, NY; granddaughters: Maryanne (Kevin) Jones of Guilderland, NY, Melissa Johnson of Central Bridge, NY, Sarah Ingraham of Middleburgh, NY, Kelly Watson of Middleburgh, NY, Heather Dumond of Stamford, NY; grandson: Jason Dumond of Stamford, NY.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service, which will be held at 11am, Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY. Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Breakabeen Cemetery, Breakabeen, NY. There will be no period of visitation.
