Gilboa- Louis E. Clark, 78, of Guinea Road, died unexpectedly on the farm on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

Born August 28, 1936 in Gilboa, he was the son of Louis and Beulah (Cronk) Clark.

Lou was a United States Marine Corp. veteran, proudly serving during the Korean Conflict until receiving an honorable discharge in 1957.

He was co owner of Circle C Trucking with his fiancée. He was a long time farmer, operating the Lone Willow Farm with beef cattle and horses. Known to family and friends as "Gabby", he loved sharing stories with folks.

Survivors include his fiancée of thirty-one years: Helen "Bernie" Castle of Gilboa; his two children: Nancy Stoddard of Nicholson, PA and Jeffrey Clark of Gilboa; four grandchildren: Tanner Murphy of Lenoxville, PA, Coy Pindar of Scranton, PA, Jessica Anastasio and Joshua Clark both of Broadalbin; four great-grandchildren: Kelsey Murphy of Lenoxville, PA, Chloe Anastasio of Broadalbin, Leah Anastasio, and Landen Clark all of Broadalbin.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Hone, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Rev. Jason Thompson officiating. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation to be held prior to the service from 10 to 11. Burial will follow in Gilboa Cemetery.
