Lorraine Pangman of Cobleskill died November 16, 2024. She was born in Grosvenors Corners on September 20, 1932, to Elizabeth (Kilmer) and LeGrande Thomas and grew up in Central Bridge.
Lorraine graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1949 and Albany Business College in 1951.
Lorraine met John Pangman in 1948 at a Warnerville Skating Rink Halloween party and they were married August 9, 1952. They celebrated 68 years of marriage before John’s passing in 2020.

She took over the bookkeeping responsibilities and proudly said all six family members had worked at the station – the girls’ summers and nights after school until they graduated and Brian ran the body shop until John’s health forced the sale of the business in 1989.
Lorraine and John enjoyed many good times at their camp on Sacandaga Lake and loved to travel in their motor home. They visited all 50 states, Hawaii twice, traveled to Europe – London and Spain and many of the Islands. They spent their winters in the Florida Keys and near Lake Okeechobee.
Lorraine was of Methodist faith and active in the church. She was a Hospice volunteer and a former board member of the Cobleskill Rural Cemetery. She and John paraded with the Punkin Holler Gang for many years and were members of the group to plan and open the Historical Museum on the Fairgrounds. She was a member of the HH Franklin Club.
Lorraine could be found knitting, reading, baking in her kitchen, and spending time with her family.
