Lorraine Holt

Cobleskill- Lorraine "Lorrie" M. Holt, 57, of MacArthur Ave., died Monday, March 30, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born June 5, 1957 in Cobleskill, Lorrie was a 1975 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and continued her education at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Willow, PA, which allowed her to become a licensed practical nurse. She was employed with The Nurse Connection Staffing, Inc. of Albany.

Her hobbies included bowling, roller skating, gambling at the casinos and playing in tournaments, and collecting birds.

Survivors include her two sons: Mark A. Schaffer (Michelle Mancucci and her daughter, Isabella), and Christopher M. Holt, Jr (America Tillman); two grandchildren: Leila E. Holt and Elias J. Holt; her parents: Theodore and Edith (Zeh) Strobeck; her brother: Theodore (Jody) G. Strobeck; and her sister: Sherry (Richard) Slater.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Rev. Donald Klob officiating. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Cremation will follow the service.
