Middleburgh- Lloyd J. Paddock,Sr., 85, of Brooky Hollow Road, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at his residence.
Born April 24, 1925 in the town of Rensselaerville, Lloyd was the son of the late Lyle S. and Alice (Engle) Paddock.
He has lived in Middleburgh for the past fifty-eight years and was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #2040 in Cobleskill. Lloyd was also a United States Army veteran, proudly serving his country from 1948 until 1949, when he joined the reserves.
Lloyd retired from the maintenance department at SUNY Cobleskill.
Survivors include his wife, Frances (Daniels) Paddock, whom he married March 30, 1952; three children: Pete (Caroline) Paddock of Middleburgh, Dorothy (Chris) Van Valkenburg of Breakabeen, and Denise Kelly (Mark Conklin) of Esperance; a half-sister, Carol; eight grandchildren: David, Tonya, Rhonda, Deidra, Mary, Jennifer, Erin, and Dillon; and ten great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Middleburgh Cemetery, New Section, Cotton Hill Rd., Middleburgh. Officiating will be Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church. Viewing will be private.
