Lloyd Minton,

Cobleskill- Lloyd T. Minton, Jr., 65, of State Route 165, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Niskayuna following a long illness.
Born April 4, 1947 in Tampa, FL, he was a son of Lloyd and Neliese (Bertrand) Minton.

Lloyd was an United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and receiving an honorable discharge.

He was employed by the state of Florida as a security officer for several years. Lloyd was a small engine mechanic by trade and also enjoyed fishing.
He moved here from Florida five years ago.

Survivors include his three children: Teresa (David, Jr.) Van Wormer of Cobleskill, Terry (Denise) Minton of Middleburgh, and Tara Minton of Richmondville; his sister: Evelyn (Albert) Poelvoorde of Plant City, FL; and six grandchildren: Glendon Hurn, Brandon Van Wormer, Zoe Whittaker, Kaleb Minton, Preston Mattice, and Kaydence Mattice.

There will be no formal services and the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your local volunteer rescue squad.
