Linda Reed

Middleburgh: Linda A. Reed, 60, of MT Path, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady, follwing a brief illness.

Linda was born on March 20, 1953 in Albany, to the late Arlene (Rivenburg) and Lyndorph Reed, Sr.

She was a 1971 graduate of Middleburgh Central School and a 1975 Graduate of Keuka Collage.

Linda worked for the New York State Dept. of Mental Hygiene. Her greatest love was watching, participating in and sponsoring dirt track race cars with her brother.

She is survived by her brother: "Spike" Reed of Middleburgh and her cousin: Phyllis Fitzgerald of Rensselaerville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY. Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rensselaerville Rural Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 10:00am -11:00am, at the funeral home, prior to the service on Thursday.
