Lillie Wessell

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL.: Mrs. Lillie Wessell, 90, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Central Bridge, died on Thurs., Sept. 28, 2006..

Mrs. Wessell was born in the Town of Esperance on Nov. 6, 1915, a daughter of Raymond and Charlotte Becker Jones. She was the widow of Leon Wessell who died Mar. 5, 1973.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and active with various womens church groups, Mrs. Wessell was a volunteer with the former Community Hospital Auxillary. In Port Charlotte she recently attended the Freedom Bible Church.

Surviving are a daughter: Mary L. (Thomas) Scudder of Port Charlotte, Fl
Granddaughter : Katrina (Steven) Schenk Port Charlotte
Grandson: John (Eliska) Scudder Germany
Two great grandsons: Logan and Kaleb Schenk Port Charlotte
Step daughter: Charlotte (Edward) Craft Ca.
Step son: Douglas (MaryAnn) Wessell Ca.
Two sisters: Edna Merry Hagaman, NY
Cora Covey Millers Corners, NY
Brother: Delos Jones Millers Corners, NY
Several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Wessell will be held on Wed., Oct. 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Central Bridge with Pastor Steffen A. Zehrfuhs officiating. Burial will be in Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, NY There are no calling hours.
