Richmondville- Lillian M. Cooper, 88, of State Route 7, died Thursday, February 1,2018 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.

Born May 5, 1929 in Berne, NY, she was the daughter of Clarence and Luella Taber.

Lillian was educated at the Berne –Knox-Westerlo School.

She was a homemaker most of her life, raising her children.  For a short period of time Lillian was an aide at the former Bub Nursing Home in Cobleskill.

Lillian treasured the time she spent with family and loved taking care of all her children and grandchildren.  She found great pleasure in having her hair styled, her nails manicured and shopping.

She was predeceased by her husband, Willard C. Cooper, Sr., who died on Sept. 29, 1974, as well as two sons, Dave and Howard.

Cherishing her memories are her children:  Will (Linda) Cooper, Jr., Betty Keyser, Margaret (Roger) Cusano, Carol (Raymond) White, Cliff (Tina) Cooper, Jim (Nina) Cooper, and Rich (Misty) Cooper; her significant other, Harold Miller; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.  Officiating will be Rev. David Houck of Christian Community Church of Faith in West Richmondville.  Relatives and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held on Monday, February 5 from 4 PM to7 PM at the funeral home.  Spring interment will be in Lawyersville Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors who have compassionately cared for their mother in her time of need.
