Middleburgh- Leslie Gorman, 66, of River Street, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Albany Medical Center following a courageous battle against cancer.

Born June 23, 1946 in Syracuse, Leslie was a daughter of George W. and Ruth (Slack) Brinck. She was raised in Buckeye, AZ, and graduated from Buckeye Union High School.

She and her husband had resided in Costa Mesa, CA before relocating to Guilderland, and in 1999 moving to Middleburgh. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel of the Hills in Cobleskill.

Leslie was an accomplished artist, wood carver, and extraordinary gardener. She had completed her education at Laguna School of Art.

Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Gorman, whom she married September 7, 1985; two daughters: Danielle Rahmatulla of Schenectady and Crystal Auxier of Orange, CA; five grandchildren: Justin Garhartt, Rebekah Rahmatulla, Kayla Auxier, Jason Auxier, and Jennifer Quinlan; her sister: Judy Ridenhour of Prescott Valley, AZ, and her brother: Jack Janda of Hoodsport, WA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service on Sat., from 9 to 11 AM. Inurnment will be private.
