Leonard Boughal

Richmondville- Leonard J. Boughal, 73, of State Route 7, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.
Leonard was born January 15, 1934 in Brooklyn, the son of Edward and Genevieve (Skei) Boughal.
He was a veteran serving in both the Army and the Airforce from 1954 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1959. Leonard was a former school teacher in Long Island, an assistant at funeral home in Mastic Beach, an air traffic controller, and also installed computers and programs for Penta Computer Company for many years.
Leonard did volunteer work in a hospital in Australia with disabled and children.
He volunteered for the local seniors helping with Christmas dinners at Boreali's Restaurant.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, son, and step-daughter.
Survivors include his wife, Judith P. (Benjamin) Boughal; 3 daughters: Genevieve Hiller of North Andover, MA, Kathleen Thompson and Patricia Clarke, both of Long Island; 2 sons: Raymond Nordenberg of Palenville, NY, and Scott Michael Nordenberg of Earlton, NY; a sister, Jane Reicker of Staten Island; 2 brothers: Edward Boughal and John Boughal both of Long Island; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm Street Cobleskill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
