Cobleskill- Leah Mae Akin, 63, of Pine Street died Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Leah was born on April 22, 1951 in Chatham, NY to Clara E. (Sands) and Edward J. Akin.
She was a bright, blue-eyed lady and could light up any room with her smile. Leah enjoyed having her hair and nails done and was especially fond of receiving compliments on how beautiful she looked. Leah enjoyed walking around her home and visiting with her friends and visiting the kitchen to look over the cooks as they worked. She enjoyed anything strawberry flavored including cakes and ice cream. Leah was always happy being outside with the sunshine and flowers. She was most comfortable in her bed, with soft fluffy blankets, relaxing to the sounds of waterfalls and crickets. Leah also enjoyed traveling to Boston, Lake George, New York City and the Thousand Islands.
Leah is survived by her many friends and family at the Pine Street IRA House and the Schoharie County ARC.
