Gilboa: Lawrence L. Schrom, Sr., 69, of Spencer Street, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home.
Lawrence was born in Schoharie on April 10, 1947, a son of Cecil (Marsh) and Charles Schrom.
Lawrence worked at MOSA in Howes Cave for a short time. He mainly enjoyed caring for his home and animals.
Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, building model cars and raising horses, donkeys, chickens and a turkey that terrorized family and friends alike.
His greatest joy was visiting and spending time with his family.
Lawrence is survived by his daughters: Corina Beeman (Nicolas) of Schenectady, April Schrom (James) of Schenectady, Kimberly Schrom (Rafael) of Schenectady; sons: Lawrence L. Schrom, Jr. (Tammi) of Middleburgh, Mark Schrom (Anna) of Middleburgh; Step-sons: Josh McMullen of Gilboa, Allen Washburn (Patricia) of Montana; sister: Carol Schrom of Schenectady; brothers: Charles Schrom (Diane) of Schoharie, Roger Schrom (Christine) of Gallupville; 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be held privately, at the family's convenience.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
