Lavinia Lamb

Worcester - Lavinia E. Lamb left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017, after a long battle with dementia Alzheimers.

She was one of six children born to Anna (Minkler) Meier and Waldron Meier on December 3, 1919 in Babylon, NY. All of her five siblings: Edward, Richard, Christopher, and Conrad Meier, as well as her sister, Olivia (Meier) Demos predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Lamb) Frampton and her son-in-law, Tom Frampton of East Worcester, NY, as well as her nephew, Christopher Demos and his wife, Heather of Lee, MA, nephew, Nicholas Demos of Mechanicville, NY and her niece, Karen (Demos) Lord and her husband, Mark, also of Mechanicville, NY, as well as her canine companions, Chloe and Gidget.

Lavinia was an avid homemaker, sewer, knitter, and quilt maker, but most of all she was "Mom", the best ever! Her words of wisdom and her willingness to help others will be most remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Tom and Sandy would like to convey their special gratitude to all of the staff, nurses, PAs, and special resident ladies support group at A.O. Fox Nursing Home for helping them get through many difficult days.

A private service will be held with burial in Fairmont Cemetery, Lee, MA.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Northeastern New York Alzheimer's Assoc., Pine West Plaza Building 4, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205 or Cocker Pals Rescue, PO Box 351, Hobart, NY 13788.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
