Cobleskill- Larry R. Palmatier, 72, of Flintlock Way, Cobleskill, New York died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital, with his loving wife by his side.
Born on January 24, 1951 in Cobleskill, NY, he was the son of Richard and Margaret (Shaffer) Palmatier. He attended Cobleskill Schools and was a lifelong resident of the local area.
Most recently Larry was a loader operator for Cobleskill Stone Products, where he obtained the nickname of "Moe". He was a heavy equipment operator for Carver Sand and Gravel for 5 years. He also worked for Ken Stanton (Stanton Farm on Route 145) for 20 years, where he always gave 100%.
Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a hard working busy body that liked to help out whenever he could.
On July 29, 2006 on Shady Tree Lane, Larry married Charlotte Moak.
His parents; sister, Barbara Beaver; and brother, Kevin Palmatier predeceased him.
Larry is survived by his wife, Charlotte Palmatier of Cobleskill, NY; son, Larry Palmatier, II; step-daughters, Erika (Donald) Barron, Greta Benninger, Marlena (Ross) Ryerson; grandchildren, Scarlett Barron, Blake Ryerson; and brother Ed (Sue) Palmatier.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
