Richmondville- Kenneth H. Parslow, 71, of Richmondville passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from natural causes.
Ken was born on October 2, 1949, in Cobleskill, the son of Harold and Leta (Hill) Parslow.
He graduated from the former Richmondville Central School.
Since retiring from Walmart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs, he enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. He loved reading, hunting, and fishing when he could.
Ken had a heart of gold. He would give the “shirt off his back” to anyone who needed it. The amount of people he would talk to and build friendships in which he left an everlasting impression were numerous. His words of wisdom and knowledge just radiated among all he met.
He was certainly a man that will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda, whom he married in April of 1969. They had three daughters together: Annette and her husband who reside in Japan with 2 sons, Kento and Kenji, Stacey and Matthew Furlong of Richmondville with their son, Matthew, and Kristine Parslow (Sean Carlson) of Richmondville with 2 daughters, Kendra and Sofia, along with 2 great-grandchildren in Japan. Ken is also survived by his brother, Michael and wife Donna of Worcester along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Harold and Leta Parslow and his sister, Jean Cole.
A service and family gathering will be held at a later time in 2022, details will follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
