Cobleskill- Kathryn M. Mattice, 89, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam following a brief illness.
Kathryn was born in Richmondville on February 28, 1926 to Celia (Swart) and Harold MacNeil.
Kathryn worked as a medical records technician at the former Community Hospital of Schoharie County before retiring.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cobleskill and the Cobleskill Historical Society. Kathryn enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and bird watching.
She was predeceased by her brothers: Harold D.A., Minard and Gene MacNeil.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter: Kathryn (William, Jr.) Hensel of Cobleskill; son: Jeffrey (Maggie) Mattice of Cobleskill; grandsons: Colin Mattice, Kevin Rossler (Kendra Barton); step-grandchildren: Margaret Hensel, William Hensel, III, Nigel (Dara) Whitebread; great grandchildren: Kayson Rossler, Kyleigh Rossler, Delilah Whitebread and two nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill with Rev. Julien Weil of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Breakabeen Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the funeral home.
