Middleburgh- Mrs. Kathryn A. Marshman, 84, of Eden Park Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006.
Mrs. Marshman was born April 18, 1922 in West Fulton, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Gibbons) James.
She lived in this area most of her life, having been a cook for 20 years in East Durham and then a laborer at Steifel Lab in Durham for over 20 years.
While married, she and her husband, Clifford Frank Marshman, resided in Middleburgh, Preston Hollow and Medusa. After he died in1985, Mrs. Marshman lived in Driftwood Apartments in Schoharie until entering the nursing home 7 years ago.
She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Brenda Faye, and a great-grand-
granddaughter, Olivia Paige Mapp.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen A. Scism of Hertford, NC; 2 grandsons: Edwin "Tommy" (Heidi) Mapp of Hertford, NC, and Cliffod Tyler (Wendy) Mapp, Sr, of. Elizabeth City, NC; a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn (Jessie) Bancroft of Chesapeake, VA; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh with Rev. Mary Wisner of the Middleburgh Reformed Church officiating.
