Kathleen Toohey

Cobleskill- Kathleen R. Toohey of Cobleskill, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a brief illness.

Kathy was born and raised in Cliffside Park, NJ and graduated Cliffside Park High School.

She was a volunteer for Cocker Pals, rescuing many dogs throughout her years. Kathy doted on her grandchildren, and will fondly be remembered as "Cupcake Grandma".

Survivors include her childhood sweetheart, whom she married November 1, 1969, William J. Toohey; her two children: Jennifer R (Laurie.) Toohey of MA and Steven (Michelle) Toohey of Duanesburg; her two grandchildren: Kaiden and Kyla (Jennifer S) Toohey; and her sister: Jacquelyn (George) Landeck of Cliffside Park, NJ.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Celebrant will be Robert Stark.
