Kathleen Newhouse

Kathleen C. Newhouse, 55, of Stone Store Rd., died Sat. Nov. 3, 2007 at the Bassett Healthcare Center in Cooperstown, NY following a long illness.

Ms. Newhouse was born in Albany, NY on May 13, 1955 a daughter of the late George and Catherine Frisch Newhouse. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Middleburgh Central School. She worked as an account clerk in the cash office at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Cobleskill and also as the Town of Broome Clerk from May 1, 2000 to Aug. 31, 2007. Kathleen was a past member of the Town of Broome Volunteer Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking and was very interested in the preservation and restoration of the Livingstonville Community Church.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematorium in Schenectady, NY. Memorial donations may be sent to the Livingstonville Community Church, c/o Brenda Hanson, PO Box 350, Middleburgh, NY 12122. Arrangements are under the direction of the Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. of Middleburgh, NY and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm Street Cobleskill.
