Middleburgh: Katherine M. Ferguson, 65, of Grove St., died Monday, June 3, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, following a brief illness.
Kate was born on June 4, 1947 in Syracuse to the late Laura (Arnold) and Warren Vandish.
She received her degree from the Memorial School of Nursing in Albany. Recently, she had worked as a bookkeeper for Albany Restaurant Supply in Albany. Kate was also an antique dealer, displaying in many local shops.
She had a passion for reading, writing letters and was an avid gardener. Kate was a member and served on the Board of the Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association and she was a member of the Middleburgh Historical Society.
Kate is survived by her husband, Peter A. Ferguson of Middleburgh, whom she married on December 18, 1971; son Tim and granddaughters Chelsea and Katya, all of Herndon, VA.; siblings: Tom, John and Laurie; mother-in-law: Rita M. Ferguson; numerous nieces, nephews and the most loving friends that a person could have.
At her request, there will be no formal services. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
