Cobleskill- Julie A. Brizzee, 41, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 9, 2009, after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer with her family at her side.
Born in Cobleskill on March 15, 1968, she was an area resident all her life. One of her biggest joys was spending time with her family which included camping, gardening and her children's activities.
She was the eldest daughter of Carol (Fedyk) Bader of Sharon Springs and Conrad F. Bader of Schenectady. Julie graduated in 1986 from the former Cobleskill Central School. In 1988 she graduated from HCCC and then HVCC in Dental Hygiene in 1991. She was employed by Drs. Lancaster, Emmons, Surman, Moran & Nicholas in Cobleskill as a dental hygienist for seventeen years. She was a life-long communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church. Julie was assistant leader of her daughter's Girl Scout Troop and son's Cub Scout Pack.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband of sixteen years, Michael A. Brizzee and loving daughter, Kimberly, 12 years, son, Jason, 9 years, and stepson, Philip Loupin. She is survived by her sister, Janice Bader of Massachusetts; sister, Lynette Lawyer (Jeffrey) of Howes Cave; her mother-in-law, Katherine Ortgies (Herman) of Esperance; father-in-law, Michael Brizzee (Jeanne DeSousa) of Schoharie; her brothers-in-law, Todd Brizzee (Christina) of Cobleskill and Gary Brizzee (Julie) of Cobleskill. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, three nieces and six nephews, Brendon, Erician, Mark, Elora, Christopher, Caleb, Emily, Haley, and Kyle.
Julie was predeceased by her grandparents, Johanna and Conrad S. Bader and Dorothy and Nicholas P. Fedyk, as well as several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank all the dear friends that visited or generously gave their support over the
years. Julie will be missed by all who knew her
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, April 12, at the church. Burial will be private.
