Joyce Rieff

Middleburgh- Joyce Ann Rieff, 70 of Middleburgh died January 2, 2016 in Manhattan.

Born August 15, 1946 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Boyd Hartman, who resided on Clay Street, Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Joyce and her previous husband purchased property in Middleburgh in 1971. Following their divorce she met John Rieff, who was an elevator constructor. They married and had their daughter Amy. John predeceased Joyce in 2002. They lived in Schoharie County for over thirty years.

Survivors include her daughter Amy Traver of Manchester, MA and one grandchild: Avery Traver; three sisters: Nancy Hartman and Susan Harman both of Fonda, Marion (Richard) Olthoff of Queens; and one brother: Richard Mannis of New London, CT.

A memorial service for Joyce Rieff will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Wetsel of Our Lady of the Valley officiating,
