Joyce Rickard

Warnerville: Joyce Rickard, 83, died Monday, March 17, 2014, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born on April 27, 1930 in Albany to Alice (Norden) and Alexander Cooper.

Joyce was a sister of William C. Cooper and stepdaughter of Deforest Sperry of Worcester.

Joyce worked for the New York State Department of Labor in Albany, retiring in 2004.

Joyce is survived by her sons: David and William Rickard; daughters: Joan (Terry) Deming, Jean (Kent) Fuller, Jane (Jim) Palmer, Jeanette (Larry) Wollaber; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
