Richmondville- Joyce Mae Hoffman, 81, most recently of Schoharie, died Friday, January 6, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1941 in Chester, NJ. Joyce relocated from NJ to Richmondville 50 years ago, where her children attended the former Richmondville Central School. She spent most of her career as a clothing buyer for Wohl's Department Store, formerly of Cobleskill. Her hobbies included ceramics, reading, crocheting, her IPAD and she found time with her family most enjoyable.
Survivors include her sisters: Eileen (Cliff) Hill and Cathy (Dale) Olm; her children: Denise Gault Frith of Schoharie and Brian (Liz) Hoffman of Richmondville; grandchildren: Breanna Gault of Oneonta, Alysha (Jake) Hoffman Madore of Richmondville, Brooke Hoffman of Richmondville, Danya Frith of Schoharie and Daniel (Danielle) Hoffman III of Summit; 2 great-grandchildren: Daniel Hoffman IV and Alayna Madore and longtime friend Linda McGowan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Hoffman and sons, Kenneth Gault and Daniel Hoffman, Jr.
As per Joyce's wishes, there will be no public services. A private service for the family will be held at the cemetery.
