Josephine Matey

Richmondville- Josephine Matey, 72, of High Street died Friday, September 11, 2020 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.

Josey was born December 12, 1947 in Puerto Rico and has been a Schoharie County resident for many years.  She enjoyed western and old classic movies, listening to Elvis Presley and country music and was a food connoisseur.  Josephine loved wearing leopard print clothing and costume jewelry, having her hair primped and a nice manicure.

She was a quiet lady and relished in her solitude.  Having a novel read to her and being in the company of her dear friend, Barry Rucker, brought pleasure to her.

She is survived by her Schoharie County ARC family.

A private graveside service will be held at Richmondville Rural Cemetery.
