Middleburgh- Joseph J. Hoelldobler, 71, of Prospect Street, died Saturday, August 18, 2012.
Joe was born January 24, 1941 in Queens, NY and was the son of Joseph and Barbara (Beer) Hoelldobler.
He worked for the Oceanside Sanitation Department in Oceanside, Long Island, NY until his retirement in 1996. In 1998, Joe and his wife moved to Middleburgh.
Joe is survived by his wife: Rosemary (Whitley) Hoelldobler, whom he married in 1963; two sons: Kevin(Rose) Hoelldobler of Ocala, FL, and Robert (Donna) Hoelldobler of Middleburgh; one daughter: JoAnn Hoelldobler of Middleburgh; four grandchildren: William, Christine, Jayme and Benjamin; one brother: Raymond Hoelldobler of Long Island; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, with Robert Stark officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
