Joseph Caputo

SHARON SPRINGS- Joseph L. Caputo, 80. of Gardnersville Rd., died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Glendale Nursing Home in Glenville, NY after a brief illness.
Mr. Caputo was born November 1, 1927 in the Bronx, NY, and was the son of John and Carmella (Imbembo) Caputo.
He served in the U.S. Army and was awarded an Honorable Discharge in 1947. He worked as a bus driver for Varsity Bus Company in New York City until his retirement.
Mr. Caputo was predeceased by his wife, Louise, who died in 2002.
He is survived by a nephew, Robert Sophia and his family of New Milford, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill, NY. A calling hour will be held from 9-10 am at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY with full military honors.
