Cobleskill- John "Johnny" Michael Thompson, 69, of MacArthur Avenue, Cobleskill, New York died Monday, June 10, 2024 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on Janaury 2, 1955 in San Mateo, CA, he was the son of James Thompson and Beverly Lillain Goetz Thompson. He grew up in California, moving to the Cobleskill area in 2010.
Johnny worked for years in Automotive Sales and Service.
On October 18, 2014 in Cobleskill, NY, Johnny was married to Robert Pingrey. Together they celebrated almost a decade of marriage and 25 years of companionship.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his sister, JoAnn Rocha.
He is survived by his husband, Robert Pingrey of Cobleskill, NY; son, John Matthew (Michelle) Thompson of Oregon; siblings, Yvonne Weber, Louise (Rick) Lavar, Robert (Jo Ann) Thompson, Tony Thompson; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Ken) Colon of Esperance, NY; 2 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews, all of California.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
