John Sidney

Middleburgh- Mr. John H. Sidney, 69, of Gorge Rd., died Sat. Jan. 19, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Sidney was born in Schoharie, NY on Feb. 6, 1938, a son of the late Clinton and Dorothy (Mickle) Sidney. He was a Structural Engineer with General Electric in Schenectady before retiring in 2000 after 30 years of employment. John was an avid gun collector and enjoyed hunting. John was a 40 year member of the Schoharie Valley Lodge #491 Free and Accepted Masons and a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Guilderland, NY.

Survivors include his wife, Norine LaPierre-Sidney, whom he married on July 27, 2003 and

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home, 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY. Pastor Larry Ontiveros of the Cornerstone Christian Church will officiate. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 PM on Tues. January 22, 2008 at the Funeral Home. A spring interment will be in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, NY.
