Seward- John Wesley, "Wes", Schrom, 88, of Lowe Road, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born September 10, 1927 in Oak Hill, he was the son of Harley and Florence (Warner) Schrom.
Wes was a United States Army veteran, proudly serving his country as a paratrooper, and receiving an honorable discharge in 1952.
He retired from Colonial Village Trailer Park where he was in charge of maintaining the grounds and equipment. Wes' hobbies included hunting, fishing, reading western books and watching western movies. He also enjoyed playing darts and horseshoes.
Survivors include his wife: Sandra (Hotaling) Schrom, whom he married July 29, 2000; five stepchildren: Brad (Tammy) Davis of Carlisle, Tim (Tammy) Davis of Albany, Scott Davis of Carlisle, Lisa Barry of Seward, and Renee (Don, Jr.) Lawton of Cobleskill; his brother: Harry Schrom of Michigan; six step-grandchildren and four great step-grandchildren.
