Blenheim- John C. Dolker, 77, of Spur Road, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his home.
John was born November 30, 1933 in his family home. He is predeceased by his parents, Emma and Christian, and his sister, Bonnie. He is survived by his long time companion, Mary Ann Van Hauwe.
John was educated in the Middleburgh Central School system. He served two years in the US Army, stationed in Nevada until receiving an honorable discharge. For two years he was road supervisor for the Town of Blenheim.
John was a lifelong farmer, raising Black Angus.
He was always there to lend a helping hand and will be missed by his friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church officiating. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 to 11, prior to the service. Burial will be private. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Middle Village Pasta & Grill, Main St., Middleburgh.
