Cobleskill- Joanne L. Weimer, 61, of Hubb Shutts Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.
Born December 2, 1952 in Hempstead, Long Island, she was the daughter of Elinor (Vetter) Weimer and the late, John Weimer.
Joanne operated a hair salon in Schoharie in the early 1970s and had also been a program director for Schoharie County ARC. Most recently she was co-owner and taught piano at Back Street Music Shop in Cobleskill.
She enjoyed bicycling, camping, gardening, cooking, walking, and most of all... being a grandmother.
Survivors include her husband: Larry Mazza; two children: Julia (Reuben) Phillips of Richmondville and Luke (Phoebe Moulthrop) Mazza of Cobleskill; her granddaughter: Lila Phillips; her mother: Elinor Weimer of Middleburgh; two sisters: Pat (Joe) Sprague of Warnerville and Margaret (Doug) Hildreth of East Cobleskill; one brother: John (Ethel) Weimer.
A Celebration of Life will be commence at 1:30 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Windfall Dutch Barn, 2009-2019 County Highway 80, Fort Plain, NY 13339, with reflections from loved ones, followed by music, food, and continued fellowship.
