Middleburgh- Jessie R. Pindar, 80, of Keyserkill Road, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Jessie was born on April 10, 1935 in Yonkers to Jessie (McSpeedon) and George E. Rice.
Jessie graduated from Middleburgh Central School and went on to train as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Albany Medical Center and in the maternity ward at the former Community Hospital in Cobleskill prior to leaving after marriage.
Jessie co-owned and operated Pindar Farm in Middleburgh with her husband and worked at his side, tirelessly raising her family and tending to the day-to-day operations of the farm.
She was an avid reader, lover of animals and she enjoyed visiting with friends and collecting antiques.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband: Henry Van Loan Pindar, Jr. and her son: Henry Van Loan Pindar, III.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Shane) Engle of Middleburgh, Diane (Steven) Pindar Butler of Cobleskill; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson: Wyatt, whom she treasured.
Memorial services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill.
