Richmondville- Jerry L. Bouffier, 53, of High Street, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany.
Born June 28, 1960 in Queens, he was the son of the late Jean (Romaine) Bouffier and Raymond J. Bouffier, who survives him.
Jerry and his family moved to Richmondville several years ago from Shirley, NY. He was a mechanic at Orchard Creek Golf Club in Altamont. He also operated Jerry's Small Engine Repair.
His hobby was collecting and working on small engines, and was happiest with a tool in his hand at his workshop.
He was predeceased by his mother as well as two brothers: Raymond and Matthew.
Survivors include his wife, Diane T. (Prudenti) Bouffier, whom he married January 20, 1985; his three loving daughters: Sara, Julianne, and Brielle Bouffier, all of Richmondville; his father: Raymond J. Bouffier of Sharon Springs; a brother: Christopher Bouffier of Mastic Beach, LI; and his sister: Jeani Bouffier of Patchogue
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Jeffrey L'Arche as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Cremation will follow the Mass.
