Summit- Jeremy R. Cain, 26, of Yankee Street, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 due to an accident.

Born December 5, 1982, he was the son of James A. and Colleen M. (Armlin) Cain. Jeremy was a 2001 graduate of Cobleskill Central School. He had been employed for the past six years in the maintenance department of AHRC Camp in Hunter, NY.

Jeremy's hobbies included that of softball, hunting, fishing, and cooking all his wild game. Most of all, Jeremy enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

He was a member of the NRA and the NYS Hounds man Club.

Survivors include his parents: James Alan and Colleen Marie Cain; a brother, Sean Alan Cain; a sister, Nicole Alyse Cain-Sheldon; three nieces: Lilliana Faith, Kelly Grace, and Serenity Jean Sheldon; his maternal grandmother, Dolores A. Greenhalgh; his paternal grandparents: William E. and Grace E. Cain; Aunts and Uncles: Bob and Kim Cain, Josef and Chris Sorgen, Donnie and Lori Armlin, Matthew and Karen Armlin, Slade and Karena Cline, Billy and Melody Lollar and multiple other aunts and uncles as well as cousins, plus numerous other Cain and Armlin family members; and many friends.

Jeremy touched everyone he came in contact with, he had a big heart, was a hard worker, true blue, and full of love and life.

Quoted from his parents, "We will miss you, we all love you, and we will never ever forget you. Our child is now in heaven".

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Robert Cain of Reach Out Family Worship Center in Sauquoite, NY, officiating. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Charlotteville Rural Cemetery. All are invited to a reception following the service at the VFW Hall, State Route 10, Cobleskill.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Summit Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, State Route 10, Summit, NY 12175.
