Cobleskill- Jeffrey S. Markley, 54, of North Street died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born July 5, 1962 in Cobleskill, he was the son of Philip and Joan (Case) Markley.
Jeff had been employed at the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill and most recently was a Cart Courtesy Associate at Walmart in Cobleskill.
He was a former member of the Richmondville Volunteer Emergency Squad and the Richmondville Volunteer Fire Dept.
Jeff was an active member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cobleskill.
He was an avid fan of Elvis and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jeff also had a passion for coffee and was a frequent visitor to McDonalds and Burger King.
He is survived by two daughters: Lisa Markley of Cobleskill and Elizabeth Markley of Philadelphia, and their mother, Carolyn; his siblings: Phyllis Joslyn of Howes Cave, Linda (David) Butler of Richmondville, Laura Butler (Edwin Brown) of Richmondville, Paul (Janet) Markley of Cobleskill, Larry (Anne) Markley of Cobleskill, and Henry (Pat) Markley of Richmondville; two aunts: Judy Holmes of Cobleskill and Arlene Johnson of Freemont, MI; his companion, Ginger Blackman of Worcester; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A committal service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery,
Hillview Section, Quarry St, Cobleskill.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 615 Main St., Cobleskill, NY 12043
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
