Jana Marie Schrader, 63, of Rosenberg Road, Sharon Springs, NY, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.
Born on April 29th, 1960 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of Del Powers and Elta Ottenstep Powers. She was a graduate of Ravena High School, Class of 1978. Jana had been a resident of Sharon Springs since 1997, previously residing in Feura Bush, NY.
Jana worked as a Construction Secretary for many local construction companies, retiring in 2022. In her free time, she loved fishing, camping, and tending to her flower garden.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Schrader; her stepchildren, Raymond (Samantha) Schrader, Melissa (Dana) Miller, Cassandra Schrader, and Christofer Monington.
A private interment will be held at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow, at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jana Marie Schrader may be made to Marathon for a Better Life, PO Box 268, Warnerville, NY 12187.
