Schenectady- Jan Jackson of Schenectady died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Ellis Hospital.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 4, 1951, Jan was the son of Jack and Mildred (Bresee) Jackson. His parents both served in the U. S. Army and he enjoyed a childhood living in many different states and countries. He was notably employed as a union mason and worked for many years on the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C..
Jan is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jackson of Schenectady and two cousins, Jim Putnam and Tom Putnam.
A memorial service will be held at the Schenectady City Mission, 425 Hamilton Street, Schenectady, NY at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 22, 2013.
