Cobleskill- James Clark Nuhlicek, 72, of Heron Road, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his residence following a long illness.
Born April 11, 1945, he was the son of Joseph and Gatha (Clark) Nuhlicek. Jim earned his degree of Master of Arts - English at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
For thirty-nine years, he was a Professor at SUNY Cobleskill, retiring in 2012. He continued to be involved with the S.C.H.O.O.L. program at SUNY Cobleskill.
Jim thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his two granddaughters. He was an avid reader, enjoyed canoeing and traveling, studied Buddhism, and volunteered for many years at the Iroquois Indian Museum.
His son, Nicholas, as well as his parents predeceased Jim.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Amodeo, whom he married May 21, 1988; two step-children: Scott (Laura) Jarvis of Ithaca and their daughter, Aoife, and Laura (Joshua) Salisbury of Guilderland, and their daughter, Eliza; and several cousins in Wisconsin.
