James Hurst

James B. Hurst, 52, of State Route 10, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, January 4th.
Jim was born August 31, 1956, in Greenville, MS and was the son of Joe D. and Mary P. (Andrews) Hurst. He married Laura Armlin on February 12, 1977.
He was the proud owner of Hurst Small Engines, a business which he started in 1995. Jim was an avid hunter, and had a strong interest in classic cars.
He served in the United States Air Force for 16 years and was honorably discharged in 1995 after obtaining the Rank of Master Sergeant.
Jim is survived by his wife, Laura Hurst; a daughter and son in-law Angie and Eric Pierce of Cooperstown, NY; a son, Josh Hurst of Sharon Springs; his mother in-law, Helen Armlin of Sharon Springs; his father, Joe D. Hurst of Mantee, MS; and two sisters, Peggy Jo Hurst and Judy Thompson, both of Mantee, MS.
There will be no formal services. Memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Springs Volunteer Ambulance, Beechwood Road, Sharon Springs, NY 13459.
